One of those fine cigars of yours at the next race would be a fine prize................... Kawasaki was so desperate for 125 riders that they put Gassin' Gaylon on one around '79. He kicked some A$$ on it too !

In about my 3rd or 4th TVRC race in 1998, I watched Haslet Joe Edwards line up on a Rokon. Then, when he finished that moto, he jumped on his Ducati 250, and went to the line. I knew then that I was among my own kind. Motoheads till the end.

Hey Ken, help dumb ole me out here again. Google....BSA Catalina Scrambler, and click on Mid America Auctions, and click on the 59 Catalina Scrambler. God, it is georgeous, especially from the timing cover side.. Would you post that for me please, so the guys can see what the ultimate dirt bike was 50 years ago. Thanks Ken, and I will see you tomorrow, and maybe you can explain how to do it so I won't be buggin you all the time. Thanks Ken...................JJ

yeah i was a little dissapointed they took too long to ask me about my racing, afterall they are a bikeshop! But i guess you cant be picky for free publicity. I gave the wrong date for Montalba, I realized it later. Oh well , you never know what to expect with internet stuff. They do have a cool museum, Complete with moto. outfit of Malcome Smith and one of his bikes.

Richard Martin(Michael's brother) at the back, #23 on his monark. I remember being intimidated by the big guy #14, because of his size. Never saw him after the gate dropped. #27 is'nt Robbie or Sean, but I can't remember who it is.
