I remember goin up and down the 'mountain' on the cross country course, which was probably the same as the MX course. They also ran the CC races in reverse at times and you could SAIL down the 'mountain'. Man it was great fun! That's a great pictu...

the MX track did go up top and had a fairly long straight up there, hung a left, and then came back down via a rocky sheer drop, over a jump and through the creekbed, then out into the flat, open meadow on the bottom. they did run it backwards onc...

Craig, that was a great cross country track. They ran you down through the woods and creeks on the bottom then ran you up on top of the hills, then fly back down some hill someplace back down to the bottom part of the course. Very fun course. Yes,...

JJ, I raced Midado several times, mostly in 73', maybe a few in 74'. don't remember them ever paying $$ for an MX. could be wrong, though. I know Bobby Hickey showed up with a brand new 125 Elsinore in 73'. had to race 125 Intermediate because the...

Hey David, Been a long time. I sure had a good time back in the day racing you. We sure had some races back then. I remember the GNC runoffs where we went to Rio Bravo and it had rained 5 inches and I had the best pick on the gate because of pionts and got the holeshot and crashed no less than 10 times and didn't move on. Thats was the most pissed I ever was racing. Just couldn't race that track in the mud. Mosier Yes Rio No. I am sure you remember some of our encounters as well. Sure was fun and a big part of my life. Take care, JIM

Suicide hill was rarely used for regular CMC, or Saddleback Saturday races, they only used it for big money races and nationals, thats why it had grass on it.
