Yeah, what's with those helmets? Was it a Joel Robert thing or what?

Check out that rear tire... Those Girling's look like they belong on a Mini Enduro!

Loved that old 157 track. The VIVA t-shirts were the rage back then.

Check out those huge Maico front hubs! Do you guys remember Wyman on the Kawasaki Big Horn @ Crowley? Was he sponsored by Colwell then?

Remember that big bowl turn @ Crowley? Had a "big" jump right after it where all the hot shoes would "cross 'em up". I remember seeing Mike Crowley riding a 250 Pursang with a 125 Sherpa S motor there. Great memories. Thanks Mark!

Danny, glad you got your cyl done. I used to have a FWH Kwik-Way bar and a model KH too. I sold the FWH to Bill Keene, who sold it to Joe Gilbert. Gosh I bet that little bar bored 1000 cylinders by now. Sure wish you could make the Jan 24th & 25th trail ride at Munster with us. It should be a hoot. I'm gonna take a couple XR200s, my old dinosauer 78 Kaw KL250, and my XR100. Got plenty of trail bikes to ride. Oh, and an XR80 to ride around the campground etc too. Think about it. JJ

Well dang it!! Danny, wouldn't you know it. My Amco Model 3850 hone only goes down to1.850. Probably about 47mm. Sure would hate to invest the 400+ just to hone 1 cyl !! I'll call around here and try to find someone who either has one or knows where one is. Bill Keene, Joe Gilbert, Teddy Poovey, Geno, Phil Jury, SOMEONE will know where one is.

Danny, yes I do happen to have a small precision hone that will go down very small. Will have to go dig it out and see just how small it will go. I also have got several dial bore gages that range, with 10th indicators so we can keep it straight etc. Lemme go out to the shop an check it all out. I know that I have several sets of stones with several grits,so we can get a very fine finish. Gemme bout 30-40 mins and I'll get back to ya.

Dan, go check out the photo posted today by Glen Urquhart. the 76' Ohio National pic with Warren Reid leading. look about middle of the picture and there's a Suzuki guy in blue/yellow. at first I thought it might be Mel Newman, but the more I looked, it looks like you ?!?!?! don't know if you had that Ridgmar Suzuki yet, or if you even rode any Nationals that year. tell me what you think.

Thanks Danny, I was away from the sporrt for a long time. The smell of bean oil in the morning got me all stirred up so I got involved and its been a blast.
I would give my right arm to line up with you, Pickard, and Riddle on vintage 125's again but I know that might be disasterous [well for me anyway].
Hope to see you again sometime. Good to hear from you.

I was at a sushi bar and overheard some Japanese patrons talking. They were discussing of all things, Lake Whitney! As I edged closer, I noticed some logos on their shirts. These guys were speaking in half Japanese, half English and one third pig ...
