This picture was taken on Westcoat dr. in Colleyville, where I lived at the time. Out in the country so to speak. Check out the barb wire fence and trees in the background, all gone now, replaced by several hi-dollar mansions. I guess I'm sorta weird or funny, but I kinda like it the was it was before.................we could ride our dirt bikes down the street to the place where we all went trail riding. Later on we even rode our race bikes down the roads with our open chambers and no one complained. Course, we were always tryin to not make too much noise too. We were never really rippin down the streets or anything, but I'd like to see someone try to do that now days. My have times have changed, time has marched on and things are different now. We were so fortunate to have so many places to trail ride all over the place...... 360, marshall creek, county line, cooks lane, John T. White trails, Grapevine Lake and Lake Dallas. I hear all you guys tell of all the places everyone used to ride after school etc. Those were truly " GOOD OLE DAYS" ...............

My cousin, Larry Young on my right on my R1 350 Yammer, I'm on my 180 twin, and my brother Johnnie is on his 90 Bridgestone that he flat tracked on a little in San Angelo. Good eye Paul. And yes, the forks look a little (?) raked, which I really can't understand since he primarily flat tracked it, and it seems that you would need a little less rake to slide fhru the corners ? Anyways, that is the same Bridgestone that I had to borrow from him at 11 o'clock at night before the Cliff Dwellers 90 mile Enduro. I had meticilously prepared my Bultaco 250 Matador for a week prior to the event, and late that night before the enduro, I went to start it just one more time to make sure everything was OK, and it backfired and broke a gear in the gearbox! A hasty call to Dallas and I was off to borrow his little Bridgestone, and a Knobby to put on the rear and about 2 AM I had er ready to go. Rode the enduro the next day and won the 125 class on it, first trophy I'd ever won. It was a real muddy event and I think all the other 125s gave up. They told me that I was the only 125 to even finish. No rider skill involved, The little bike weighed about 140 lbs, and I think I carried it thru some of the mud holes !!! The other 125s being too heavy for the other guys to do the same. A pure stroke of luck.

Looks like a BS, do the forks look a little raked out?

just looking at this photo...., I can imagine those Yamaha 2-stroke twins idling smoothly. how nice it would be to pull up to an intersection these days, and hear that sound !

This could be a '76, even a '77 model, I think. Haslet Joe has a '77 on the stand right now, and it looks just like it. His has leading axle forks, but his manual says it came with straight legs. New fenders installed by yours truly, and yes, they a…

It must be fast because the front motor mount was engineered for the extreme Greeves power. I believe MKA went to school was Charlie Greeves and will have something German to say on the subject. Martin "poking the bear" Brazil

anyone who ever went fast on a Greeves has my admiration!

1975 model? Mark Pledger went plenty fast on one of these, for a while. David Greenhill also did his share of damage to Jap bikes riding a machine like this.
