So that was going to be my first race on my Steens converted 100B at 9 years old. As we were pulling into the pits the ambulance was out 3 times. I never took my Hodaka off of the trailer. My dad(OLin Frazier - new, guy) went on to win the open class on a 1974 Yamaha 360 Silver Bullet. He was 2nd the first moto but passed the leader of the second moto inside off of this terrible drop off inside to take the lead and win the second moto. 2-1 beats 1-2. From where we standing my family and the Holloway's were going nuts on the downhill pass. Besides my Dad's races the 125 Experts during those days were my favorites. Out of all the tracks that I visited when I was a kid I think Strawberry Hill was the coolest. I remember Shoecraft flying out of those SH gullies and I would go crazy. Another thing when I was a kid we would trail ride through the many trails of 360 on Saturdays preparing for the races MX/CC on any given Sunday.

Chance and Craig, I remember Airport MX too, just north of L&R or Armadillo, or County Line MX, (seems like they couldn't make up their minds what to call it). Anyway, Airport MX was just a couple hunnerd yards south of 183 if I remember right. Right off County Line Rd. I decided to go watch a motocross there one day, and it was gone. I don't think it lasted much over a year if that long But what do I know, I was riding cross countries then and hadn't been to many MX races except to watch, like Mosier Night MX and such.

Airport MX was just south of Hwy 183, west of Hwy 360 and east of County Line MX. they were close (geographically), but not the same. The place wasn't around for too long. maybe a couple of years. I remember racing there in late 74' or early 75'.

Airport MX is the track where "Grandpa" Arlie Hutsell crashed (supposedly due to heart attack) and died. I can't remember if his death actually occurred at the track or shortly thereafter.

Hey Jack, you know I'm just messin with ya. Hannah was a great rider, just like you, only difference is, he never rode the fabulous ( in your own mind maybe ) Kwacker rotary valves.

Nah, Hanna lover,...... I see it the other way, Roger D pushin the bully Hanna out uh da way.....' Punk, who you think you are anyway' Looks like Howerton on the left (of the foto) could care less about cry baby Hanna's momentary dilema with the EX world champ. And no9 on the Honda aint got no worries about none of em, he's got his superior horsepower to the ground and is sayin 'ADIOS' to Hanna and everybody else, at least to the first turn. Great foto !!!!!

Very correct Joe. In addition the Japs are going to use it for a testbed for the new Hodakas. They will be imported in via the Brazos. Word is Booger Martin will be the importer.
