Craig,
You are correct SIR .RD broke his bike in two at Livermore over a radical uphill jump passing two lapped riders at 65+ MPH. He had tested a full face Bell helmet the week before but decided not to use it this race. Many stiches! You are the history KING!

Craig, bumb, old, and forgetful as I am, I seem to remember the announcement you mentioned. But me, not being a Zook affectionado at the time, thought, sure, sure, yeah, OK. You guys still amaze me with your razor sharp memories of all the little details. Like, I remember vaguely the announcement, but I would have never remembered that the dude makin the announcement had a suit on !!!!!
Craig Knight Comment by Craig Knight on November 10, 2009 at 5:46pm
yeah, Texas Stadium in 75'. shortly after this happened in front of BAZILLIONS of potential Suzuki consumers, some suit from Suzuki was "interviewed" over the P.A. he went to great lengths to explain that Tony's bike was different from production units at the local Suzook dealers, and those bikes would certainly NOT break apart like Tinker-Toys.
it was later this same year, at the Livermore Trans-AMA, where Roger D's machine came apart at high speed.

C'mone Martin........I'm sure that to many people, you are a guru. Right up there with the great MKA, Craig the 'professor of all things motocross', Tony and Paul, to name a few. And as for me, well, I'm just an ole has been racer that likes to hang around with all you guys so I can listen to all yalls old stories, try to remember a few details so I can re-tell them to people so maybe they can be fooled into thinkin that I know something too, just like you real gurus. With me, it's all a smoke screen Martin. You know, the old 'smoke and mirrors' trick.
Martin Brazil Comment by Martin Brazil on November 10, 2009 at 4:15pm
Yes on Texas Stadium. No way am I near MKA or Tony or Craig or Paul or You. All of you forget more in a day than what I have known in total.

Donno Paul, that still looks like Wolsinks nose to me. Craig will set us straight, you can bet on that !! Seems like I remember a Zook comin apart much the same as this one at a race at Texas Stadium sometime maybe 73 or 74. Craig will remember that one too I bet. The guy is a Wizard................
Paul Burnett Comment by Paul Burnett on November 10, 2009 at 2:14pm
